My daughter wrote a song

Our twins have been part of their school talent last year and this. My daughter decided to write a song about here current anxieties. She’s given me permission to put the lyrics here:

Inevitable nightmare

Middle school like a bomb
Ready to explode.
Can I take the load?
Piling on the books and math and all of that.

Tick, tick, tick.
Gonna blow.
I don’t know.

I’ll do my best
To get an A on my test.
Gonna stay well-dressed.
Middle school like a bomb
Ready to blow
Wa-a-oo.

Middle school like a wolf ahead on the trail,
But if you try to bail,
Ya gonna fail.

Middle school like a bomb
Ready to blow.
Just wanna go.
Gonna explode.
Can I take the load?

I’m doing my best.
To get an A on my test.

Inevitable nightmare
Middle school.
They just wanna be cool.
Inevitable nightmare
A wolf snarling on the trail
Ya gonna fail.

But is it wagging its tail?
Inevitable nightmare
That’s how it seems.
But it turns into dreams.
The wolf is a puppy
The bomb blew up with confetti.

But I still worry.
Dreams can be scary
Middle school like a bomb

Tick tick tick.
Gonna blow in 5 months.
It’s gonna explode.
Can I take the load?
Tick tick tick boom!
My doom.

5 months that’s what I have to wait
To enter the middle school gate.
