On Monday I start my new job at the OpenSSL Foundation. Typically there is a honeymoon phase followed by the slow realization that the organization you joined has problems. All organizations have problems. The difference is how long it takes to find them.
Last month the Foundation sent out it's annual report for the 2024 fiscal year. It's a transparent report, though a little out of date since the year ended in July. The exciting part is that the team is small (I'm employee #5) and the mission is ambitious.
